Rajasthan Tourism- "Palace on Wheels" Royal Trains in India

The concept of "Palace on Wheels" luxurious tourist train launched to promote the Rajasthan tourism in India. The first train was started on January 26, 1982. The idea of "Palace on Wheels" was derived from the royal background of coaches from different states of India. These trains are fully air conditioned and includes saloons, restaurants, bars and many more. Palace on Wheels has been announced one of the best royal and luxurious rail journeys in the world.
The Royal Trains Are:
- Maharaja Express
- The Golden Chariot
- Deccan Odyssey
- Mahaparinirvan Express
- Royal Rajasthan on Wheels
There are 14 coaches in the train where each of them is named after Rajput states and interiors of the royal past: Alwar, Bharatpur, Bikaner, Bundi, Dholpur, Dungargarh, Jaisalmer, Jaipur, Jhalawar, Jodhpur, Kishangarh, Kota, Sirohi and Udaipur. There are two restaurants in the train "The Maharaja" and "The Maharani". The train departs from New Delhi and travel all around the Rajasthan.
"Palace on Wheels" Route
The journey of this royal train starts from New Delhi and then it takes you to beautiful Rajasthan for next seven days. You will travel throughout the Rajasthan including cities like Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Sawai Madhopur, Chittorgarh, Bharatpur, Jaisalmer. Finally the train will take you to Agra, after traveling through these beautiful cities. The remarkable and memorable journey ends at Delhi which will you never forget for lifetime.
